If you want to remain healthy, then regular, challenging activity is essential. uses a movement system of organizing and activating the whole body so you can enjoy rapid progress and become injury proof. The system involves creating tension in the facial lines of the body (biotensegrity) and utilizing the benefits of moving from the core. offers three different forms of exercise for you to choose from. You can train towards your fitness goals using some or all three; your choice.

  • High Performance Ageing (HPA) which is a modern accessible form of strength and conditioning. Develop whole body integrated habits for confidence and ease of movement. Includes alignment, functional core strength and activation, using the breath and foot and hand to core connections. HPA practice is primarily based on modern sports science including progressions and adaptation theory in the context of whole body strength and conditioning.
  • I Liq Chuan and Qi Gong are excellent for focus training your proprioception, balance, posture and interoception. Options include Zhong Xin Dao I Liq Chuan (ZXD/ILC), Yang style Tai Chi, The Ba Duan Jin, Offering Hands and Offering Tea, Standing Meditation and breathing practice.
  • Hatha Yoga Vinyasa is ideal to build overall resilience, physical and mental. Learn to cultivate interoception, organise and activate and develop whole body integrated movement. This slow mindful practice uses a series of yoga asana and breath inspired movement to teach stability, strength and movement control. My yoga practice is inspired by Subtle Yoga and my understanding of The Movement Template.

All of these forms of exercise can be adjusted to fit your current capacity. All of these exercises are taught in a safe and respectful manner. Training involves progressions from where you are now, adapting over time toward your goal. Maybe you want maintenance, not progressions. The same teaching method applies, its just that the load and resistance will change.

For example if you want to improve your balance we would start with High Performance Ageing to learn how to activate and organise your body prior to moving including safe movement habits. Once you have the basics we look to add variety and novelty to make the practice interesting. We could find standing postures to practice and challenge us in the yoga and ZXD/ILC drills.
